Knower Award
to attend the Annual
Conference in Denver
Award:
The Knower Committee will select one winner from among active DUSLA Student Chapter members, who will receive up to $1500 to help cover costs of attending the SLA Annual Conference in Denver, CO, June 3rd-6th. The winner will provide a brief report on his/her conference experience for publication in the SLA Philadelphia chapter Bulletin as well as an entry for the Drexel Student Chapter blog.
Application Process:
To apply, send a short (under 500 words) statement about how attendance at
this conference fits with your education/career plans, along with a resume and description of your role and past activities with the DUSLA Student Chapter.

Eligibility:
This award is open to active DUSLA Student Chapter members currently pursuing degrees in Library and Information Science who are also current members of SLA.

About the Award:
The Knower fund is a special fund set aside by the SLA Philadelphia
Chapter to support and encourage student members to explore special
libraries and the information profession. Awards subsidize conference and
event attendance, student memberships, and research programs in promotion
of SLA.
The Knower fund memorializes Beverly M. Knower, who was a librarian at
the Sun Oil Company, an active member of SLA, and a student advocate.
