Jacqueline C. Mancall, Ph.D.
Professor

Dr. Mancall is a well known contributor to the literature of library and information science who is called upon frequently to speak at conferences, often as the keynote speaker. The most recent presentations have focused on the changing roles of libraries and library media specialists taking into consideration :
  • educational reform
  • impact of technology on collection management
  • instruction and services for various clients
  • importance of partnerships and teaming in the delivery of information services

She has served as a consultant to school districts and state agencies. with particular emphasis on school library media services. Her most recent research was on the impact of technology in building collaboration between school and public libraries. Her most recent book is Collection Management for Youth: Responding to the Needs of Learners, which she co-authored with her colleague Dr. Sandra Hughes-Hassell.
