COURSE OBJECTIVES

To be able to identify relevant external information sources.
To be able to evaluate external information sources.
To identify individuals information needs and match sources to them.
To understand how information services are provided in organizations.
To be able to select and search on-line databases.
To be able to use a variety of tools of the Internet for locating information.
To be able to apply the Internet to organizational information needs

Grading of work will be on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis. Any unsatisfactory work, with the exception of the the Internet Team Project can be redone once in order to achieve a satisfactory. If all work is completed at the satisfactory level a grade of "A" will be earned. For each unsatisfactory or missed assignment the final grade will be lowered one level.
