| The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program is designed for information systems professionals who hold a bachelor's degree and are serious about pursuing a master's degree to broaden and formalize their knowledge about information systems and information technology. The curriculum incorporates a principled approach to the analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, assessment, and enhancement of large-scale information systems. To keep pace with our rapidly changing field, the iSchool's MSIS program has been recently revised to more appropriately meet your educational and career goals. The new program is divided into a series of core courses, distribution courses and electives. The philosophy behind this reorganization is to provide you with the greatest flexibility to design a Master's degree that meets your specific requirements. In addition, new courses have replaced others to better reflect the state of the art in information systems. The MSIS degree is offered on campus and online. Students may take the degree completely on campus, completely online, or as mixture of the two. Students may need to take online classes to progress through the program at a full-time pace. One of the first master's degree programs offered completely online, the program is recognized as a national model for long-distance learning. Classes are conducted via the Internet, providing an intensive learning experience with the same content and quality as the degree available through the campus-based program. Employers know the value of a Drexel systems degree. The University enjoys national and international recognition as a leader in such areas as business, engineering, and information science and technology. |
